Students in the Honors Program
Honors Program students must maintain a University of Delaware cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above to enroll in Honors courses. Honors Program students with GPAs below the 3.00 minimum will not be eligible to enroll in Honors courses until their cumulative GPAs are improved to a 3.00 or higher and they are back to active status in the Honors Program.
Important note for first-semester Honors Program students: Honors Program students who are in their first semester will enroll in the next semester’s courses before grades for the first semester are posted. Students who do not meet the minimum GPA requirement of 3.00 after grades are posted will lose their enrollment in any Honors courses.
Students not in the Honors Program
Full-time matriculated undergraduate University of Delaware students who are not in the Honors Program must have completed at least 12 credits at the University and have a UD cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher to be eligible to enroll in Honors courses. Priority seating in Honors courses is always given to eligible Honors Program students. Students not in the Honors Program who meet these criteria may contact the UHP Office at 831-1195 two weeks prior to the beginning of the semester to request Honors courses if seats are available. Students with GPAs below a 3.0 are ineligible to enroll in Honors courses.
